Prime Minister Theresa May has announced a snap general election which will be held on 08 June 2017.
With the Muslim population constituting some 4.4% of the total UK population, their vote will have a significant impact on the outcome of a number of seats.
Here, Bridge Institute has identified key issues affecting the Muslim community and has provided tangible policy solutions.
This document is for:
- Politicians where the proportion of British Muslims in their constituencies outnumber the total number of votes won by the current sitting candidate, or where there is a significant Muslim population
- Any organisations interested in BME and Muslim centred issues, or those interested in issues surrounding integration, education, discrimination, social mobility and counter-terrorism
- Practitioners, community leaders and any peoples interested in Muslim-centred issues
